Hi Folks -

Lately I've been thinking about how some online strategies can be the right thing for one site, but the wrong one for another depending on site goals. The resulting article, "Third Party Guest Articles: What's Good For Jane Is Bad For Joe", is the first of at least two in a series on Website marketing strategies. The article explains why you may want to include third party guest articles in your marketing plan and why you may not want to include third party guest articles in your marketing plan.

There's also a new article on WebMarketingArticles.com about repeat Website customers. "Is Your Website a Super Magnet?" by Sean D'Souza explains what you need to create a Website that customers will want to turn to again and again.

If you missed it last time....

 WebMarketingArticles.com - Website Marketing Strategies

"Website Marketing Strategies (Part 1).
Third Party Guest Articles: What's Good For Jane Is Bad For Joe" by Bobette Kyle
http://www.webmarketingarticles.com/StrategiesArticles1.htm

A recent debate started me thinking about how some marketing strategies can be right for one Website, but wrong for another depending upon the site's purpose and the underlying reasoning behind the action. If an action doesn't directly and logically plug into site goals then there are likely more profitable ways to spend that time and effort. Part 1 of this series looks at including third party articles on your Website.

Ok, so you've got someone to visit your website once. What if you wanted them to visit again, and again, and again? Ooh, that's hard, isn't it? Not really. Find out how to attract them back without begging.

If you are like many small business people, your marketing plan is a perpetual work in progress. These step-by-step online marketing plan tools help you through the process - eight different tools in all.

Amongst the forms, worksheets, and templates is an hour-long "Secrets to Creating a Small-Budget, Online Marketing Plan" CD.  Online Marketing Forum - At HighRankings.com

Conversation Starter: What's the first (or most effective or least effective) thing you or your company did to market your site in 2004?

Or, if you have a question about some aspect of online marketing go ahead and start a new thread:

If you are new to the forum, there are three things to remember:

  1. No advertisements (except in signature).
  2. Follow the rules (we really do enforce them):

  3. Use the smilies. Many to choose from! (OK, I'll admit I made that one up. They are fun, though!)
