Note from Bobette Kyle
Logo effectiveness, Changes to newsletter and site

Hello All -

Today's issue includes an article by Erin Ferree on the importance of having a professional company Logo.  A Logo is one of those things that looks deceptively simple to create. Besides creative talent, there are other considerations as well. Erin explains nine of them.

Newsletter changes...

Beginning with this issue, you may have noticed some changes to the newsletter.

I am loosening the format to allow more flexibility. There will likely be more focus on the "Note from Bobette Kyle" and most issues will include one business article. With the new, looser format I can better communicate with you as needed, rather than when I have the time to pull together two full articles, etc.

Also, the full newsletter will be available only on the Web. I will email you an abbreviated text version, with link to full edition online. The reason for this is two-fold.

First, filters are becoming so restrictive, it's becoming more difficult to "clean up" the newsletter - especially the HTML version - which means you may not always receive an emailed newsletter.

Also, it is not financially reasonable for me to continue to take the time to do a Web, email HTML, and email text versions.

The newsletter's timing will remain the same. You will hear from me at least once each month and no more than twice in a week.

Heads up about site changes...

Over the next few weeks I will be removing many of my own articles from the site. Instead of having past articles freely accessible through the newsletter archives, I will likely rotate a few at a time through links on the homepage.

So, if you are interested in reading any of the articles you missed, you may want to spend some time now exploring past newsletters: http://www.websitemarketingplan.com/NewsletterArchives.htm

Enough for today. :-)

Enjoy,

Bobette

P.S. If you know anyone who may enjoy Website Marketing Plan News, please forward to her/him (Thank you. :-) ).

Site Section for Instructors
Target Marketing Plan and Web Promotion Guide Information

I've added a new section to the site for instructors interested in using my target marketing plan and Web promotion guide ("How Much for Just the Spider? Strategic Website Marketing for Small Budget Businesses") in their courses.

The text is applicable to courses comprised of business professionals, small business managers, and/or entrepreneurs. These students can apply knowledge from the book in developing and implementing online marketing strategies for their companies.

The book also helps prepare MBA candidates and advanced undergraduate students for the "real world", showing them how to succeed with online marketing strategies in today's budget cutting mindset.

Relevant courses could include...

  • Marketing Management - online/Internet strategy module
  • Small Business Management courses
  • MBA Level Marketing - direct marketing, Internet marketing,
  • e-commerce, online/Web strategies.
  • Entrepreneurial courses
  • Executive MBA courses
  • Business Plans - marketing plan module
  • Marketing/Business Strategy
