Note from Bobette Kyle
Golf and a good book.USP article, golf online, free book - tell-a-friend

Hello All -

My daughter Amarette is now settled - complete with a hefty supply of spider spray - into her new apartment at Mizzou. Yesterday was her first day of classes as a Sophomore. Said she was "bored". That won't last long. ;-)

Golf online...

This one's just in time for the U.S. holiday weekend. Derek Reinhard (He of Rhino Task Force, LLC and Poor Rhino's Almanac.) is hosting the first ever Online Marketing Open.

Play just for fun or purchase "tokens" to use in the tournament. Derek's awarding over $3500 in cash and prizes to winners.

The best part? Every 100th registrant gets a free PDF copy of my Web promotion and marketing plan guide "How Much for Just the Spider? Strategic Website Marketing for Small Budget Businesses".

BTW, there's also a "19th hole" gift basket for everyone who completes a game (free or tournament). Click on over to the tournament site, practice a game, and register for the tournament: http://www.theonlinemarketingopen.com

Targeting through USP article...

The article today, "What's in it for me?" by Steve Hill, stresses the importance of having a clear USP - unique selling proposition. Steve gives six tips for effectively communicating the value you provide to others:

The book. Free paperback with purchase...

The August special is winding down (tick tock).

Buy the PDF Marketing Planning Package. Get the paperback version of my Web marketing plan and promotion book "How Much for Just the Spider?" free.

I keep a copy of the paperback on my desk to use as a quick reference. It only takes a minute to find a subject/resource in the index, then flip to it for a quick read in the text. Very handy.

Don't miss out. There's only a few days left. Buy it here:

Enjoy,
Bobette

P.S. This just in...MarketingProfs published my article "Target Marketing: Six Lessons from Major League Baseball" in today's newsletter. It's also on the front page. (BTW, the "SWOT Analysis" article - #2 under 'Hottest How-Tos'" at the moment - is mine, too.)

Have a look: http://www.marketingprofs.com/
