eCommerce overview, marketing your Website off line

Hello All -

I think the humidity and heat have finally left St. Louis for the season ("Hurray" and "Knock on wood".). The weather has been mild for a full week. There have even been a few days within my five degree comfort zone. lol!

Proactive worm protection...

In response to last week's article "Keeping the Worms Away. How To Minimize Virus Threats", Mike Sherwood of VIGILANTe wrote to say you can also take preventive steps on a network-wide level. Vulnerability Assessment software can find weaknesses in a network so you can patch your system *before* problems happen.

Off line marketing in your plan...

Accepting Payments Online: An eCommerce Overview

There is a seemingly infinite number of choices and configurations for taking payments online. Choices range from almost total "do it yourself" programming to turnkey packages.

Taking payments online can seem like a jigsaw puzzle. Besides an Internet merchant account, you will need shopping cart software, a store or site host, a processor, a secure payment gateway, and/or third party processors.
