Note from Bobette
Thank you book for 3, Autograph through Amazon, Last
call for creative use of resources.
Dear Reader,
Last week I sent out a newsletter notification as well as the newsletter
itself. I asked you to let me know if you got one or both emails. Originally, I
was going to run the test for two issues, but the response was so strong, I'm
comfortable that - for the most part - Website Marketing Plan News is being
delivered. More details on feedback and preventive measures I took in "My
Inbox", below.
With no incentive whatsoever to do so, nearly 6% or you
sent me feedback. As a thank you for not only reading but also actively
participating, I decided to send three of you an autographed, paperback copy of
my marketing plan guide "How Much for Just the Spider? Strategic Website
Marketing". From those who sent in feedback, I randomly chose three names. They
are...
Heather Hughey,
http://www.petbedsdirect.com
Marie van Rooyen
John Richards
Heather, Marie, and John...if you have not already done so,
please email me a mailing address where I can send your book.
Autographed paperback - (Warning, shameless self
promotion coming up :-) )...
For the rest of you, I have made available autographed
paperback copies of my marketing plan guide "How Much for Just the Spider?
Strategic Website Marketing" through the Amazon.com Marketplace.
Amazon sells the book retail as well, but the retail copies
are not signed. Look in "New & Used", under "Collectible". Amazon's policy
forced me to price the signed copies higher than normal retail, so you'll have
to pay 2 pennies more for the autographed version.
:-0 Have a look
here.
Last Call...
This is the last call for your stories on creative use of
resources. I will have a look at the stories I receive by November 30 and pick
one to feature in the next issue of Website Marketing Plan News. Send in your
story and/or read full details
here.
Enjoy,
Bobette
P.S.
I can better tailor the newsletter contents if I know your
interests. Please take a moment to flesh out your profile through the link at
the bottom (This is also where you can change your newsletter format or - gasp!
- be removed from the list.).

My Inbox
No-cost Advertising
Via notice from
AffiliateShowcase.com I found a new banner ad exchange I am trying out,
Ad-Clix.
Unlike some other advertising programs, you do not have to reset your browser's
home page to earn views. Ads are targeted - you choose from 18 different
categories.
To get you started, they give you 1,000 banner impressions
and 1,000 exit pages on their network of sites. You start showing banners and/or
exit pages on your site. For every five times you show an ad, you receive one
impression of your ad.
You can see it in action at the bottom of my homepage:

Newsletter Delivery Feedback
Just under 6% of you responded to my request last week.
I sent out a newsletter notification email and the newsletter itself. I asked
you to let me know if you got both emails. All but one of you received both.
This does not tell me, of course, if both emails were
blocked. The response and open rates were high enough, however, that I'm now
confident most are getting through. I guess I'll have to find something else to
worry about now. :-)
Here are some things I have done in hopes of keeping my
delivery rates up.
1) I have test addresses for several popular email
providers - AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, and Earthlink. I leave the settings on default
and notice if an issue does not come through.
2) To help improve delivery, I looked through the list
of terms here
and minimized my use of them (Looking at that page today, it's much longer than
I remember it being a few weeks ago.).
3) I added a section to my Welcome Message asking folks
to set their filters to accept email from me.
