I hope life is going well for you all - both professionally and personally.

Some things are starting to click for me…In the “this is cool” department, a Professor at University of Missouri Kansas City will quite likely be using my book “How Much for Just the Spider? Strategic Website Marketing for Small Budget Businesses” in his MBA marketing class.

I was surprised (but definitely pleased) at his interest since I wrote the book for businesses, in a kind of conversational style, rather than as a textbook. Learn more about the book and/or buy it here.

The articles…

For this issue I have relinquished the feature strategy article to Robin Johnston. Don’t panic. He’s worthy. :-).
In “Making Sure the Price is Right“, Robin discusses how to distance yourself from the unprofitable “low price trap” by using additional elements in the marketing mix to adjust Total Customer Value.

Today’s guest article addresses one of my favorite marketing tactics - article writing. In “How to Write Killer, Magnetic, Hypnotic Marketing Articles…and Why!“, Derek “Rhino” Reinhard helps you through the process of transforming a vague idea into an interesting, successful article. If you like easy going, slightly humorous articles you will love this one.
Enough jabbering for today. On to the good stuff.

Jim Sterne’s, “Let There Be Light: A religious tract on web analytics” is a thoroughly entertaining, tongue in cheek commentary on the importance of measuring Website success. Don’t miss it.

My feature article is Part 2 of a Site Success series: “How To Measure and Improve Site Success, Part 2: Evaluate Site Activity through Web Metrics“. It explains some measures you can use to uncover opportunities for site improvement. You’ll find reference to a couple of detailed resources as well.
