WebSite Marketing Strategies, Repeat Customers

Lately I’ve been thinking about how some online strategies can be the right thing for one site, but the wrong one for another depending on site goals. The resulting article, “Third Party Guest Articles: What’s Good For Jane Is Bad For Joe“, is the first of at least two in a series on Website marketing strategies. The article explains why you may want to include third party guest articles in your marketing plan and why you may not want to include third party guest articles in your marketing plan.

There’s also a new article on WebMarketingArticles.com about repeat Website customers. “Is Your Website a Super Magnet?” by Sean D’Souza explains what you need to create a Website that customers will want to turn to again and again.

Segmenting your market, search engine optimization forum

The WebSiteMarketingPlan.com Network News, June 24, 2004

I’m kind of excited this week because Jill Whalen of HighRankings.com asked me to Moderate one of her forums. Effective yesterday, I am Moderator for the Internet Marketing forum. Come on over and visit. It’s a great place for marketing conversation.

WebMarketingArticles.com is shaping up as a place to go for ideas on Website Marketing Strategies. Have a look, especially the new article by Karon Thackston, “Segmenting Your Target Audience Through Your Copywriting“. She has suggestions for increasing marketing material effectiveness both online and offline.

A short one today. My stepdad is going into the hospital tomorrow for surgery to remove an aneurism, so am trying to crush much work into a small time.

Niche marketing, personality targeting, ecommerce

The WebSiteMarketingPlan.com Network News, June 2, 2004

Today’s first feature article, “Identifying Your Niche” by Vishal P. Rao, explains how he identifies a niche market. By identifying and analyzing how to effectively reach your niche market, your marketing plans become more effective. Vishal targets home based entrepreneurs with his article, but the process he describes to identify a niche market can be applied to any size business.

You may have noticed that it has been longer than usual between newsletters. This is because we are overwhelmed with family issues just now. My father’s wife passed away near the end of April. He is in a wheelchair so we are struggling to get both his short term and long term care arranged. None of us knew anything about elder care options or probate, so it has been - and continues to be - a quite stressful situation.

Meanwhile, my stepfather had a “mild” heart attack. Fortunately, the blockage wasn’t extensive, so a stent is all that was needed. While they were doing that procedure, however, they found an aneurism in one of his arteries. If I understand correctly, they will fix that in a few weeks.

In today’s second feature article, Scottie Claiborne looks at a different kind of targeting. In “Motivating Your Website Visitors To Take Action: Personality Targeting“, she explains how to target Website visitors according to personality type and gives specific examples. Note that this same approach can work with other types of marketing material as well (brochures, print ads, etc).

Don’t forget to look through the new ecommerce site.
