Business plan functions, marketing plan update, article writing, RSS
The WebSiteMarketingPlan.com Network News, September 13, 2005
Summer vacations are behind us now in the U.S. and schools are back in session. This means it’s marketing plan season - time to take a look at this year’s plan and begin updating for next year. Or, if you do not have a marketing plan, begin the process.
Today’s issue is packed full of articles to help you with writing your plan as well as give you ideas for new marketing programs.
Start with “It’s Time for a Marketing Plan Update” by yours truly and “The Six Important Functions of a Business Plan” by Michael Brassil. Then move on to Sharon Housley’s piece on the benefits of integrating short term and long term marketing into your marketing plan (some good examples there, too).
If you are looking for ideas and more information about marketing programs to include in your marketing plan, have a look at the articles about:
- how RSS fits into your marketing strategies, including the relationship between blogs, RSS, e-zines, and e-mail;
- the many advantages of article writing; and
- how to improve your site’s organic search engine listings.
I also want to mention the eMarketing Association’s sixth annual conference. It’s an excellent way to further your education on a whole array of online marketing techniques. Seminar speakers include executives at MSNBC.com, Yahoo! Search Marketing, NSR, Commission Junction, and many others. It is being held October 18 and 19, 2005 in Boston: http://www.emarketingassociation.com/2005/boston/index.htm
