Superbowl Commercials

Filed under: Super Bowl Commercials, Advertising & Marketing — Bobette Kyle @ 8:12 pm

Sierra Mist - Comedienne Kathy Griffin is an airport security guard who wants the Sierra Mist. Click on “TV Ads,” then “Super Bowl - Wand” to see the commercial.

Disney’s “I’m going to Disney World” commercials.

Diet Pepsi - BrownAndBubbly.com
- P. Diddy
- Jackie Chan

Aleve
Leonard Nimoy

Budweiser / Bud Light
Budweiser has such established brands and known animal mascots, the commercials can skip the “hard sell” and go for entertainment. I always love the Clydesdales. This year’s Clydesadale football was a hoot…a streaking sheep! lol! The baby Clydesdale was adorable, too. I missed seeing the donkey this year, though.

Mobile ESPN (look under “Sports Heaven Unveiled” for a link to the commercial)

Dove - Campaign for real beauty - Every girl deserves to feel good about herself. Different angle for Super Bowl ad. Wonder if it was effective?

GoDaddy.com - Once againTasteless and offensive. I have two accounts with this company, a total of around 50 domains. I’ve been considering taking my business elsewhere for awhile…this clinches it. Between the incessant upselling while trying to use the site and irrelevant, insulting commercials enough is enough. Good riddance, GoDaddy.

Overstock.com

Super Bowl Halftime Show - The Rolling Stones
The trend toward safe performances by aging, legendary performers continues (following last year’s Paul McCartney show). Even at 62, Mick Jagger can still rock.

Hummer - “It’s a little monster.” H3 Mamma Jennifer has her own website.

Careerbuilder.com - I was tired of monkeys last year. IMO, chimps hit their peak with the 2001/2002 E*Trade spots. Seems I must be in the minority, because there they are, year after year.

More links and commentary to come. An article, too, eventually.

2006 Super Bowl Ads

Yahoo! will be posting video of the 2006 Super Bowl advertisements - reportedly before the end of the game - on the video home page.

Cost to run a commercial during Super Bowl XV? Super Bowl: $2.6 million for a 30-second spot during the broadcast.

Six Steps to Effectively Prioritize Your Time

Six Steps to Effectively Prioritize Your Time
by Mike Brassil

One key to becoming more productive is to manage your time wisely. This way, those important projects and tasks will not “fall through the cracks.” Additionally, you will find that some tasks do not really need to be completed at all!

First, prioritize your activities in the order of their importance. Time spent on routine or trivial tasks takes time away from income-generation. Ask yourself what absolutely must be accomplished today and write these tasks down. Unless you commit them to paper, these objectives are only wishes. Following a prioritized schedule on a daily basis will have a direct bearing on your overall performance.
